The CIS bi-lingual program prepares students exceptionally well for the challenges of today's world. It aims to develop understanding and encourages students to inquire and to think critically and creatively. It strives for balance among the disciplines and for balance between classroom and non-classroom learning. The school seeks to enroll a student body that is diverse in its ethnic, national and socio-economic composition and prepared to take on the demands of a rigorous and multifaceted academic program in two languages – English and Chinese (Mandarin).
