Hong Kong International Airport is located at Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island. The airport has numerous facilities, including an extensive shopping mall. If you are meeting visitors coming to Hong Kong, remember that there are two arrival halls, ‘A’ and ‘B’. You should decide with your incoming visitor at which hall you will meet.

Passenger Information Kiosks are located throughout the airport and display information on airport services and facilities and flight information.

Airport Transport

By Airport Express The Airport Express runs from 6 a.m. – 1 a.m. daily. The trains run every 10 minutes. This service caters to air-passengers and greeters/well wishers. The train stops at three stations and takes approximately 24 minutes from Central MTR station. For a single journey from Central, the adult fare is $100. A same-day return trip is also $100, for when you are picking up visitors from the airport. You can also purchase a round-trip ticket. This allows you a trip to and from the airport and is valid for one month. You need to purchase round-trip tickets from the Customer Service Desk.

By Bus There are 28 bus routes serving the airport. One of the best ways to get to the airport is to take advantage of the special Cityflyer that operates from 6:45 a.m. to 12 a.m. These routes are represented by the letter ‘A’, and are dedicated to departing and arriving passengers. They have fewer stops and stop at some hotels. The remaining 22 routes have numerous stops and are used primarily by local residents.

By Taxi One can also journey to the airport by taxi. From Hong Kong Island the journey can cost anywhere from HKD$350 to HKD$500, including the tolls.

By Car If travelling by private car, short and long term parking is available.
